Whether art is a hobby or a passion, our Studio and Digital Arts classes allow the space, time, and encouragement to create. Play with paints, mold clay, and create wearable art in our studios, or bring digital images to life, shoot fantastic photos, and support local nonprofits with your graphic design skills.

A Day at the Spa NEW!

What will you do with the all-natural soaps and fun candles you’ll make in this class? Give them to friends and family? Create your own relaxing, aromatic spa at home? Or maybe launch your own business! Homemade, all-natural soap is better for your body and better for the environment, too. Learn the basics, then create nourishing bars of soap, bath bombs, several types of candles, and more!

Join the fun and expand your imagination through the world of clay.

Groovy Tie Dye

Fold, twist, pleat, and crumple your way to cool creations! Using a variety of methods and all the colors of the rainbow, you’ll make your very own apparel and accessories.

Kid Kollage

Start with drawings, then add layers of color and texture to make mosaic-like images. Magazines, pieces of fabric, and found objects can be cut, torn, or glued to create a masterpiece of collage art. Have fun watching your work come to life!

Real-World Graphic Design NEW!

Snap, Click, Capture: Digital Photography

Digital photography allows you to become the great photographer you always knew you were! Photograph subjects and produce striking images in class. Come ready with your digital camera in hand and a sense of adventure. (Camper must bring a digital camera or smartphone.)

Wearable Art 

Design and create bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and shirts. Maybe even a duct tape dress! Fabricate new pieces for your wardrobe using everything from safety pins and spray paint to duct tape and beads.

Woodworking

From ancient times to the present, woodworking has created decorative objects, practical tools, and fantastic works of art. Over 5,000 years ago, Egyptians used finely crafted wood pieces for furniture and tools and invented veneering (gluing thin slices of wood together) and varnishing (adding a protective coating to wood). In this class, you’ll be putting your own spin on techniques practiced for several millennia!
Learn how to design, fabricate, assemble, and finish a project of your own in our awesome DesignLab woodshop. Learn shop safety and the foundation of woodworking. Build spectacular pieces that you get to take home!
