The SummerPrep 2026 catalog is now available. The online catalog lets you view class offerings by class name, grade, and/or category. Each class in the catalog includes session/dates, grades, period, and tuition.
How much do SummerPrep classes cost?
You can find the cost of each SummerPrep class by scrolling to the bottom of a class description (within the SummerPrep catalog) and viewing "Tuition."
Are classes based on a camper's current grade level or their rising grade level?
Classes are based on the grade level that a camper will enter in the fall. For example, a class for Grades 5 - 8 is for campers who will be in 5th - 8th grade in Fall 2026.
Can any student from any school participate in SummerPrep?
Yes! Students from over 100 schools across the Albuquerque metro area and beyond join us every summer! You do NOT need to be a current Sandia Prep student to join SummerPrep.
Are sessions and classes sequential?
Sessions are NOT sequential. However, some classes are sequential. For example, there are multiple levels of Minecraft, Pottery, Guitar, and more. Sequential classes are noted in the SummerPrep catalog.
Please note: Most classes are one period long unless otherwise noted.
What types of payments does SummerPrep accept?
We accept most forms of payment including major credit cards, ACH, check, and cash. Final payment is due Friday, May 1, 2026.
Can the New Mexico Child Care Assistance cover the cost of SummerPrep tuition?
While New Mexico’s rollout of universal child care coverage is an exciting development, unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer our high-quality SummerPrep programming at no cost to families. The partial reimbursement provided by the state does not cover the expenses required to maintain the level of care and programming our campers enjoy.
How do I change my child’s schedule AFTER SummerPrep begins?
Schedule changes are discouraged after SummerPrep begins. However, we understand that occasionally a class change is needed. To request a schedule change after SummerPrep begins, a parent/guardian must stop by the SummerPrep Office or email summerprep@sandiaprep.org. (Campers themselves may not request a class change.) If there is a price difference, you will be responsible for the additional class fee, if applicable.
*No refunds will be issued after Friday, May 1, 2026.
Who do I contact if I'm having issues with online registration?
If you are experiencing technical difficulties during online registration, please contact the SummerPrep team at summerprep@sandiaprep.org or 505.338.3045.
What is SummerPrep's cancellation policy?
Should registration need to be canceled by a family, a full refund minus a ten percent administrative fee will be granted until Friday, May 1, 2026. After May 1, 2026, no refunds will be granted. Note: SummerPrep reserves the right to cancel a class that does not meet minimum enrollment. In this case, you will be contacted to select an alternative class.
What is SummerPrep’s dismissal policy?
Campers are expected to behave according to well-accepted principles of behavior. SummerPrep has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to bullying. To ensure a safe and positive experience for all participants, SummerPrep reserves the right to dismiss a camper or parent/guardian if behavior becomes disruptive, unsafe, or violates camp expectations. Refunds will not be issued if a camper is dismissed from SummerPrep.
