pat allen

Pat Allen

Pat has practiced law in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1991. He has served as General Counsel to the UNM Foundation since 2017. Prior to that, he worked in private practice - the last seventeen years as a managing shareholder of the Albuquerque law firm, Yenson, Allen & Wosick, P.C., where he focused his litigation practice on employment law, government liability, constitutional law, civil rights, and insurance law. Mr. Allen received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Political Science from James Madison University in 1988, and received his Juris Doctorate from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1991. Mr. Allen has served on and chaired boards for several community nonprofits and is a longstanding board member and former chair for Sandia Prep. He and his wife, Kim, have two children, one of whom is a Sandia Prep alum.

Charles Becknell

Dr. Becknell is an Assistant Professor of Africana Studies in the School of Teacher Preparation, Administration, and Leadership at New Mexico State University and Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Rio Rancho. His research focuses on applying the Africana Studies framework across the K–20 continuum to shape policies and curricula that expand access, advance equity, and foster belonging. He earned a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies and a B.A. in University Studies from the University of New Mexico, an M.A. in Criminal Justice Administration from Clark Atlanta University, and a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. He is the father of two Sandia Prep students, one a junior and the other in seventh grade.

Robert Delcampo, Chair

Dr. Robert G. DelCampo is the Sr. Executive Director of Corporate & Community Engagement, Executive Director of the Innovation Academy, and Rutledge Professor of Management at the University of New Mexico. Rob began his academic career at UNM in 2004 and served as Associate Dean from 2012 to 2015, where he led the development of a new MBA curriculum and launched the Hispanic Leadership Development Program in partnership with the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, he became the Founding Executive Director of the UNM Innovation Academy, a university-wide initiative fostering entrepreneurship across disciplines.

Rob and his wife, Stephanie, met at UNM and have two children, Derek and Benjamin, who are both students at Sandia Prep.

 

 


 

Tatianna Duran

Tatianna Durán

Tatianna grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Sandia Prep in 2007. In 2011, she graduated magna cum laude from the George Washington University, where she studied International Affairs. Following two years in Cairo, Egypt, Tatianna obtained her Master's degree in Government from the London School of Economics. For the next decade, Tatianna lived in London and was the Associate Director at a private consulting and intelligence firm. She oversaw numerous high-profile fraud and anti-corruption investigations focused on the Middle East and Eastern Europe. 

In 2023, Tatianna returned to Albuquerque, where she joined her family’s manufactured housing business.

Trevor Hatchell

Trevor Hatchell is a prominent figure in the commercial real estate industry in New Mexico, serving as a senior partner of CBRE Land Services Group since 1994. With over three decades of experience, Hatchell has played a key role in shaping the Albuquerque skyline through his involvement in some of the city’s most influential commercial land sales.

Raised in Albuquerque, Hatchell has a deep-rooted connection to the city. His wife, Erica, is also from Albuquerque and the owner and operator of Gertrude Zachary, Inc., a business founded by her mother in 1974. The couple has two children, Tess and Sutton. Tess is currently pursuing a BA from Southern Methodist University, while Sutton is a student at Sandia Prep, with a keen interest in tennis.

 

 


 

tracey hartzler

Tracy Hartzler

On November 12, 2019, the Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) Governing Board unanimously selected Tracy to become the sixth president of CNM.  She officially began her presidency on January 1, 2020. CNM serves the largest undergraduate student body in New Mexico. Under Tracy’s leadership, the College remains committed to developing and strengthening partnerships with private-sector industry leaders, as well as education, government, and community leaders, so the College can produce the workforce of the future that will help power student success, economic success, and a better quality of life for all New Mexicans.  

President Hartzler has served the public sector for nearly thirty years in education, government, and policy roles. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. She earned her Master of Education Degree from the University of Virginia with highest honors, and she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, from Saint Mary’s College in Indiana. She is a member of the New Mexico, Indiana (inactive), and District of Columbia Bars. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Sandia Prep, Tracy serves on a number of local economic development, healthcare, and workforce boards.

 

 


 

Jennifer Hubbard

Jennifer Hubbard

Jennifer Hubbard is active in the community as a mom, volunteer, and business owner. Since moving to Albuquerque in 2009 with her family, she has been involved with Manzano Day School, Sandia Prep, PB&J Family Services, and many other organizations. Hubbard graduated from Rutgers University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science and a minor in Education before teaching in the Manalapan New Jersey School District as a physical education teacher for eight years.  In partnership with her husband, Jennifer owns the Outpost Ice Arena and New Mexico Ice Wolves Hockey Teams, and regularly engages and brings awareness to various nonprofits in Albuquerque.

Jennifer has three children who have graduated from or are currently students at Sandia Prep and is committed to ensuring that Sandia Prep thrives by maintaining financial discipline and success, while fostering a culture of innovation, dynamic academics, and upholding the values that make Sandia Prep a special place for students, faculty, and the overall community.

 


 

Will Kaplan '99

Willie Kaplan is a seasoned medical device sales professional with almost 20 years sales experience who currently owns and operates Kronos Medical LLC.  As the Principal for Kronos Medical LLC Willie sells and manages a team of highly awarded medical sales professionals encompassing New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and El Paso.  In his free time Willie likes to travel, play golf and hike with his family.  He currently sits on the Popejoy board and is an avid enthusiast of the arts.  As Willie attended Sandia Prep for 6th-12th grade (class of ’99) and has two children who currently attend the school and one more Sundevil on the way he is passionate about the Sandia Prep story and the legacy that it leaves behind.  Go Lions!

 


 

bree lovelady '95

Bree Lovelady was raised in Albuquerque and is a graduate of Sandia Prep ('95). After graduating cum laude with a BFA in Art History from the University of New Mexico, she moved to San Francisco, where she attended the California Culinary Academy and worked in the culinary industry for a Michelin-starred chef. 

In a career pivot, she relocated to Denver, where she earned a second BFA, this time in Interior Design, from RMCAD. After working for an architectural firm in Denver, she founded her own design firm in 2009. The pull of home and her deep love of New Mexico brought her back to Albuquerque in 2011, where she lives with her husband, Ryon Bornemeier, who oversees the family business, Perfection Honda. The couple has two children, Dawes and Indie, both of whom attend Sandia Prep.

Lisa McCulloch, Vice Chair

Lisa has a background in fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and small business ownership. She worked on the capital campaign for Amy Biehl High School's relocation into downtown Albuquerque and was the Executive Director of the CNM Foundation. In 2014, she purchased Betty's Bath and Day Spa and sold it in 2024 to retire and spend more time with family and support important community organizations, like Sandia Prep.

Lisa is married to Frank McCulloch III and has a son who is a student at Sandia Prep.

Rachael Miletkov, Secretary

Rachael is a graduate of the University of Georgia's renowned Terry College of Business. She has nearly 20 years of nonprofit experience and over 10 years of fundraising expertise. Currently, she is the Advancement and Communications Manager for the New Mexico Foundation (a community foundation in Santa Fe, NM). She and her husband, Nikolay, have two sons - (former Prep student) Emil and (current Prep student) Philip, '27.

Stephanie Moore-Combs has worked for the State of New Mexico Health Care Authority for almost 25 years, where she currently serves as the Senior Deputy Director of Systems and Operations. Her daughter is currently a Sandia Prep senior.

al park '88 

Al Park '88 is a graduate of Purdue University and the George Washington University National Law Center. Following law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Edwards Conway, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico.

In 1999, Mr. Park was selected from a nationwide pool of applicants as one of two Pegasus Trust Scholars by the American Inns of Court. As a Pegasus Scholar, he spent three months in London, England, studying the British legal system and working alongside barristers and judges.

Mr. Park was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 2000, where he served for twelve years, including six years as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee. During his legislative service, he played a key role in shaping state policy on issues ranging from education to public safety.

Since completing his federal clerkship, Mr. Park has maintained an active civil litigation practice. In 2011, he founded Park & Associates, LLC, which continues to represent clients throughout New Mexico.

Born and raised in Albuquerque, Justin subsequently graduated from Arizona State and then received his law degree from the University of New Mexico. Today, Justin is a nationally-recognized litigation and trial lawyer who frequently handles high-stakes cases for clients such as Intel, BNSF Railway Company, and Fed-Ex Ground. Justin routinely litigates cases for Fortune 500 clients throughout the Southwest, including New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. Justin is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, multiple Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, numerous Federal District Courts, and the Supreme Court of New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.

Justin is the proud father of two Sandia Prep students.

Todd sandoval '91, Past Chair  

Todd Sandoval ‘91 and his wife, Cristie ‘90, are both proud alumni of Sandia Prep. Todd is an entrepreneur who started his business in Albuquerque. He has served on Sandia Prep’s Board of Trustees for more than ten years, holding several leadership positions, including Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Finance Chair. Todd and Cristie’s three children — Lauren '21, Kendra '25, and Garrett '25 — are also part of the Sandia Prep alumni family.

Elyce is a Sandia Prep alum of the Class of 2001. She got her undergraduate degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College. Subsequently, she returned home to go to the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, completing her residency in Pulmonary & Critical Care there as well. She then joined the Pulmonary & Critical Care Faculty at UNM in 2020.

Elyce has two sons, Finn and Riley, at Sandia Prep, and her brother and mother are also Sandia Prep alumni.

kenneth R. Tekin '97, Treasurer

Ken Tekin ’97 is a Prep alum and former Alumni President who co-owns SelectROW with his brother and fellow alum, John Tekin ’03. A licensed New Mexico real estate broker, he specializes in customizing data related to rights-of-way for internet, solar, electric utilities, data centers, and transportation projects nationwide. He credits Prep’s academics, arts, and Outdoor Leadership Program with shaping his creative problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership skills. Ken and his wife, Annie, are the proud parents of two current Prep students and one recent alum (Class of 2024).

 

 


 

avery volkman

Avery Volkman '96

Avery Volkman is a New Mexico native, born and raised in the Albuquerque area. He is a Sandia Prep alum (Class of 1996) along with his sister Sage '99. Avery and his wife, Anna, are proud parents of four children: two boys and two girls. Currently, his two daughters are attending Sandia Prep, with one son graduating from Prep in 2025 and heading off to college. His other son will be attending Prep in a couple of years. Avery received his degree in Business Management and Marketing from BYU-Idaho. Using his degree, he returned to New Mexico to help his family establish several successful businesses, including land development and car washes, and to assist in running several franchisee restaurants. Avery is deeply involved in the community and with Sandia Prep. Before he graduated from Sandia Prep in 1996, he and Larry Hanley (a former Prep teacher) started the very successful Outdoor Leadership Program at Prep, which continues today. Avery has the distinction of being the first Camping Associate in the OLP program, which, as of 2025, has had over 400 Camping Associates graduate from the program at Prep. Avery loves traveling and spending time with his family.

 


 

Troy Weisler

Troy Weisler retired as the 23rd Chief of the New Mexico State Police in March 2026 after more than 23 years of service with the agency. During his career, he served across New Mexico in assignments including Deming, Moriarty, Albuquerque, Farmington, and Santa Fe, working in the Uniform Bureau, Research and Development, Criminal Investigations, and Narcotics while rising through the ranks from Patrolman to Captain. As a member of the Chief’s Staff, he created the agency’s Innovation and Crime Suppression Bureaus before being appointed Chief. Weisler holds degrees from New Mexico State University, Wayland Baptist University, and Arizona State University. He and his wife, Martha, have two children, Rowan '29 and Madeline '26, both of whom attend Sandia Preparatory School. Chief Weisler previously served four years on the Sandia Prep Board of Trustees.

Lorna Wiggins

Lorna is the President of Wiggins, Williams & Wesenberg, P.C. and has practiced law since 1983. She has served as Board Chair and been a part of the Prep Board of Trustees for over ten years. Her daughter, Brooke, graduated from Prep in 2015.
