Learning to See: Landscape in Watercolor

Cost: $180 + a $15 materials fee.

In this 3 session class, students will learn the fundamentals of painting the high desert landscape in watercolor. We will explore simple techniques for capturing colorful skies, distant horizons, and plants of the Southwest. Through guided instruction, students will become familiar and confident with watercolor and find joy while painting the landscape. Beginners encouraged to attend! Pottery with Waseem Touma

Ages: Grades 5 - 12 and adults
Cost: $60 per class (includes all materials)

Have some fun playing with clay! Waseem Touma, Sandia Prep ceramics instructor with over 25 years' experience, is offering Saturday pottery classes this fall. You will learn the fundamentals of making vessels and other functional ware, as well as such pottery techniques as trimming a foot, attaching a handle, and glazing your work. A great way to learn a new skill and have fun doing it!

Driver's Education

This New Mexico Department of Transportation Program 2 course (56 hours in-person classroom instruction + 50 hours parent-supervised driving time) is open to the Albuquerque community, but preference is given to Prep students if the class reaches maximum enrollment.

Instructors are Kenny Ortega, owner of RoadRunner Driver's Education, and Chris Perez, baseball coach at Rio Rancho High School.
