Math & Engineering

Have you ever fantasized about designing your dream house? Are you fascinated by rockets and robots? Do you enjoy math challenges or wish you could feel more confident about solving problems? These courses cover everything from physics and flight to architecture and building.

3-2-1 Blast Off!

Design, build, and launch your own flight vehicle! This rocketry class includes lessons in physics and flight, fluid dynamics, stability, and aerodynamics.
Grades: 5 - 8
Session: 1, 2, or 3
Tuition:
$110

Architectural Endeavors

Discover the three main components of architecture: form, function, and material. Drawing inspiration from Frank Loyd Wright, you’ll design your ultimate “Dream Home.” Campers will also design and build a birdhouse inspired by an architect of your choosing.
Two-period class
Grades: 4 - 8
Session: 1, 2, or 3
Tuition:
$220, plus $25 activity fee

Building Things: Engineering 101

From simple egg drops to more elaborate Rube Goldberg-type machines, this class will introduce you to basic engineering concepts through fun and engaging projects. You’ll test acceleration and shock absorption and design and build mechanical and kinetic devices.
Grades: 3 - 8
Session: 1, 2, or 3
Tuition:
$110

Building Mathematical Minds

It's important to be challenged, have fun, and feel successful in mathematics, especially during the early years of developing the mathematical mind. Explore patterns, geometry, statistics, measurement, data, and many types of numbers. You will learn not only problem-solving strategies but also how to recognize math misconceptions, all while having a great time.
Grades: 4 - 6
Session: 1, 2, or 3
Tuition:
$110

Math Whiz

This class is all about having fun with numbers. Through a combination of games, songs, and hands-on activities, you’ll be a math whiz in no time!
Grades: 1 - 3
Session: 1, 2, or 3
Tuition:
$110

Marvelous Machines

Experience the world of robotics! Younger campers will mainly build robots, while older campers will learn to program and build robots from LEGO®, Mindstorms®, and K’Nex®. Plus, you’ll learn a bit about the history of robots and see how they are used in science fiction and real life.
Grades: K - 8
Session: 1, 2, or 3
