National Honor Society Makes Wish Come True
April 13th, 2023
Sandia Prep's National Honor Society (NHS) students recently made a dream come true for a Make-A-Wish kid.
Throughout the year, our NHS students, led by seniors Abby Hanosh '23, Garrett Beard '23, Avery Ross '23, Christopher Andrick '23, and Izzy Sauerman '23, raised $6,000 to send Wish Kid Hailey and her family to Disneyland this summer.
Hailey, affectionately known as Hay Hay, loves her namesake Hei Hei from Moana. With help from Performing Arts Chair Louis Giannini, theater teacher Thane Kenny, and members from the Prep show cast and crew, Moana and friends sailed out across the gym floor during an all-school assembly to send Hailey on her way to the Magical Kingdom.
Sara Lister, President/CEO of Make-A-Wish New Mexico, Rachel Romero and Adriana (Wish coordinators), and Hailey herself graciously thanked the Prep community. We echo those thanks for helping to make another Wish come true.
