Sandia Prep Welcomes 14 to Sundevil Athletic Hall of Fame

October 7th, 2026

“During my years as a Prep athlete, I learned how to work hard, dig deep, extend myself, re-envision what success can be, and embrace failure when it occurs.”

- Abra, Class of 1994

For more than 50 years, Sandia Preparatory School has embraced the fact that sports can provide students with life-long skills, including fitness, teamwork and recreational activities. Many students excel in one or more of the 56 team sports offered at Prep. During Homecoming Week 2026, the Sundevil Athletic Hall of Fame Committee honored 14 individuals who have made long-standing contributions to the Athletic program – from star athletes to the essential roles of manager and coach.

What makes a Sandia Prep Sundevil Athletic Hall of Fame member? Student inductees graduated from Sandia Prep at least 15 years ago and achieved outstanding accomplishments while at Prep, such as state champion (individual and/or team), All-State (individual and/or team), state record holder, school record holder and/or Player of the Year.
