Woodworking
From ancient times to the present, woodworking has created decorative objects, practical tools, and fantastic works of art. Over 5,000 years ago, Egyptians used finely-crafted wood pieces for furniture and tools and invented veneering (gluing thin slices of wood together) and varnishing (adding a protective coating to wood). In this class, you’ll be putting your own spin on techniques practiced for several millennia!
Learn how to design, fabricate, assemble, and finish a project of your own in our awesome DesignLab woodshop. Learn shop safety and the foundation of woodworking. Build spectacular pieces that you get to take home!
