Reflecting on Change, Embracing the Future

A Year of Transformation and Strategic Progress

Dear Sandia Prep Community,

At Sandia Prep, we believe that reflection is an essential part of progress. As we look back on this past year, we see a school that has embraced meaningful change, implemented bold strategic priorities, and deepened our commitment to a culture of giving back. This work has positioned us to move forward with purpose, ensuring that we continue to cultivate an environment where our students thrive, both now and in the future.

Throughout this year, we have been intentional about bringing our strategic vision to life. From strengthening our academic programs to enhancing student support systems, we have taken significant steps toward fulfilling our long-term goals. One of the most exciting advancements has been the continued development of the Impact Lab, which fosters experiential learning through real-world problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration. This initiative empowers students to engage deeply with their education, applying their skills in meaningful and impactful ways.

A spirit of generosity is woven into the fabric of Sandia Prep. Through their time, talents, and financial contributions, our faculty, families, alumni, and friends continuously invest in the success of our students and the future of our school. Their generosity has enabled us to enhance programs, improve facilities, and expand opportunities for all students. This culture of giving not only strengthens our school today but ensures that future generations will continue to benefit from the transformative education that defines Sandia Prep.

As we move forward, we do so with gratitude for our past and excitement for our future. Our vision remains clear: to inspire our students to discover their purposes in the world by developing essential skills and intellectual potential through challenging academics; cultivating a socially responsible environment of innovation and creativity; and engaging as a vibrant community for the betterment of society. Thank you for being a part of this journey and for investing in the future of Sandia Prep.

Sincerely,

    The endowment effect

    Fueling innovation, excellence, and resilience

The value of Sandia Prep’s endowment was $9,681,719 at the end of fiscal year 2024. As opposed to annual gifts, which cover annual operating expenses, endowed funds provide long-term income to assist with all of Sandia Prep’s needs. Since only the income from the principal is spent, endowed funds provide resources for Sandia Prep in perpetuity. Endowed funds can be established for a specified purpose, or as unrestricted funds to meet the greatest needs of the School.
