Biography
Favorite Book My favorite book is called The Dead and Those about to Die. It's a book that is written from different people's experiences on Omaha Beach during the invasion of Normandy. It's my favorite because it shows people from all walks of life, including a 15-year-old Canadian who lied about his age to join the U.S. Army, experiencing the invasion together. What's your secret skill or something people might be surprised to learn about you? I've owned a pet hedgehog, Rupert Wayne Manzanares, for 3 years. He is surprisingly loud and loves to make noise right as I am falling asleep. I'm also very good at identifying flags and knowing the capital cities of countries. What do you enjoy most about Sandia Prep? I enjoy the people of Sandia Prep the most. We have the best teachers, administration, facilities, and students. How do you spend your downtime? I like to lift weights and play video games like Hearts of Iron 4, Counter Strike, and whatever game my friends are playing that week. When I have days off, I like to go camping in the New Mexico wilderness. My favorite spots are the Pecos and the Jemez forests.
