"When someone asks you, what do you want to be when you grow up, instead ask yourself, what problem do I want to solve?" Not sure where I heard it, but I believe it leads us to be critical thinkers rather than chasing a profession or title as a goal. The world needs more problem solvers!

What's your secret skill or something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I previously served as the manufacturing and operations manager for a world-leading Hydrogen Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer catalyst manufacturer, Pajarito Powder. I did not seriously pursue teaching as a profession until the age of 44. I was also the captain of my high school and collegiate Cross Country teams.

How do you like to spend your downtime?
Spending time with my family, which includes, hiking, backpacking, hunting, camping, running and generally geeking out over anything running or performance related.

What do you enjoy most about Sandia Prep?
The community! When I first started coaching, I was amazed by the character of the kids. From that day on, I was hooked. I wanted to become more involved and contribute to this awesome community. Such amazing people!
