Biography
Favorite Book The Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder were my favorite books as a child. Whenever my parents and I drove to Santa Fe or to White Sands, I would think about Laura and her family crossing the country in a covered wagon – without mile markers, billboards, places to stop for supplies, and many times without roads. To this day, I am still amazed by how early travelers navigated the country! What's something people might be surprised to learn about you? Many people think that my ability to knit and crochet (especially thread crochet) is my secret skill. Personally, I think it’s the darn good Rice Krispie Treats I make. What do you enjoy most about Sandia Prep? The people at Sandia Prep are the best! They are warm, friendly and helpful, and most of all, they truly care about the students. Everyone is genuinely dedicated to helping every student develop the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to be successful in their future – no matter how that student defines success. It’s inspiring to see that dedication firsthand, and I’m proud to be a part of Sandia Prep. How do you like to spend your downtime? I enjoy traveling and experiencing new destinations – from the sights and sounds to the food and history, I love every moment! Of course, I can’t travel all the time, so when I’m at home, I enjoy gardening, reading books, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and keeping my cat company.
