🚀 Campers launched their rockets today in our 3-2-1 Blast Off! class — such a fun adventure! 🌟

✨ National Honor Society students celebrated a heartwarming wish reveal for Mimi with the incredible Make-A-Wish team this past spring! 💙 Thanks to their dedicated fundraising efforts, NHS raised $6,000 to send Mimi and her family on an all-expenses-paid trip to Disney World! 🏰🌟
There’s so much to love about SummerPrep, but one of the best parts is our incredible team of counselors. Mostly made up of returning Sandia Prep students, they bring fun 🎉, adventure 🏕️, and kindness 💛 that campers will remember all year long!
Lauren Larson ’04 returned to Prep this semester with her two young daughters 👩👧👧. During their visit, they toured the campus and made a special stop at Ernie Polansky’s classroom 🧪, where the girls explored his lab and Lauren had a chance to reconnect with her former teacher 👨🏫.
Now living in Happy Valley, Ore., with her husband Dan and their daughters 🏡, Lauren works as a small animal veterinarian at Happy Valley Fern Hill Vet Care 🐾.
Reflecting on her visit, Lauren shared:
“While so much has changed on campus, it’s inspiring to see what the students are up to and how things have evolved. Now, being in the shoes of a parent, it makes me so grateful for my parents—and for my time at Prep. It was, and clearly still is, a wonderful community.” 💙
It’s been an amazing week here at SummerPrep—full of creativity, laughter, and new friendships!
Wishing all our campers a fun and restful weekend. We can’t wait to welcome you back on Monday! 😄 ✌️

Marvin captivated the audience with an insightful talk on immigration, while Claudio shared the origin story of the Border Doors project. Four of our seniors from Spanish 5 and Heritage Spanish 5 also took the stage to reflect on their experiences during last November’s trip to the border 🌎.

The 4th annual Grass Bash brought fierce competition, with Team LeGoat taking the middle school prize and The Gary Peacock winning for upper school. The biggest win? Over $1,500 raised for Make-A-Wish, thanks to the National Honor Society. Huge thanks to everyone who played, reffed, BBQ’d, cheered, and chilled with Kona Ice. Special shoutout to the Hanosh family (Abby '22, Olivia '25) for sponsoring cash prizes, and to the Chavez family (Olivia '25) for their added support. What a way to wrap up the year!!
