Favorite Book
Feynman's Lectures in Physics - a 3 volume transcript of Richard Feynman's lectures to physics students at Cal Tech. While I wouldn't recommend trying to learn physics for the first time from it, it is great if you know physics already as it represents a brilliant thinker recreating and reinventing physics from first principles. Every time I dip into it, I come up with new insights.

What's your secret skill or something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I paint miniatures and construct miniature paper model villages - it is super finicky work and requires all my attention, so it allows me to stop thinking about everything else and just focus on doing that one thing - for me that is the best way to relax.

What do you enjoy most about Sandia Prep?

It is hard to limit it to one thing - obviously I love teaching physics, and I love being part of OLP. My colleagues and students are awesome - there is a real community feeling here.
