Society1966

A sense of ingenuity, foresight, and gratitude built Sandia Prep. The School was founded by Barbara Young Simms and buoyed by the generous philanthropy of Bill and Sue Whitfield, the founding Board of Trustees, and members of the Albuquerque community. They willingly gave contributions that laid the foundation for the Sandia Prep we know today. The contributions of our early supporters created a strong foundation and encouraged new donors who have helped the school to continue this growth for more than 50 years.

To honor past and current philanthropy, Sandia Prep has created Society1966 to permanently recognize donors for their cumulative giving of $25,000 or more. Society1966 members will be acknowledged on a series of customized plaques prominently displayed in the Anderman Concourse of the McCall Performing Arts Building.

The contributions of Sandia Prep's earliest supporters created a strong foundation of philanthropy that has been sustained for more than 50 years. Their generosity paved the way for a new generation of donors who also believe in the power of a Sandia Prep education to transform individual lives and whole communities.

Society1966 proudly honors those families, alumni, and organizations that have made a philanthropic investment in Sandia Prep with the contribution of one or more major gifts.
