Sandia Prep alumnus Dillon Shije '09 is featured in a Runner's World magazine story this month.
Shije discusses his training regimen on Zia Pueblo, where he lives, and how he continues to improve his fitness and performance. He also mentors teens on the reservation and encourages them to use running to develop resilience.
"What I'm trying to teach, and to demonstrate, is that the more you run, the stronger, you can get, in every way," Shije says in the story. "It creates a mindset for endurance, and for being more resilient."
