Sandia Prep Class Recognized at Legislature for Support of MADD

Sandia Prep's Political Theory class recently attended the New Mexico State Senate session for the reading of a resolution remembering those killed by Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in 2019. The media event, held in the rotunda of the Capitol building, recognized the families of one victim of a DWI crash and identified two pieces of legislation proposed this year to increase protection on the roads.
Sen. Gabriel Ramos, D-Silver City, recognized Prep's Head of School Bill Sinfield and introduced the Prep students and adults from the Senate floor.
"The seniors in the class were specifically invited to attend this DWI/Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) recognition day at the New Mexico State Legislature because of our past support of DWI awareness and involvement with and support of MADD," said Political Theory teacher Ms. Stacy Moses.
