The Future Begins Here.

SummerPrep 2015:  June 1 - July 10

Sandia Prep's acclaimed summer program for students entering K-12

SummerPrep offers an array of exciting and educational summer camp options for students in elementary, middle and high school — with more than 90 academic, arts, and sports offerings for students entering grades K-12. We provide a safe and exhilarating environment, where your child will enjoy rich learning experiences led by our exceptional teaching staff.

Since our program's inception in 1993, our goal at SummerPrep has been to offer a stimulating environment in which children can expand their horizons and explore new possibilities.  From forensic science, robotics, architecture and sports to Mandarin, creative writing, musical theater and studio arts, there is a wealth of opportunities from which to choose.

For SummerPrep 2015, many favorite courses return, such as: Weird and Wacky Science (grades 1-4 and 5-8), Hogwarts School (grades 2-6), Kids Cook (grades 2-6), Chemistry (grades 5-8), Costume Design (grades 6-8) and Come Play and Learn (grades K-3).

New camps this year include: Rocketry (grades 6-8); Comparative Anatomy:  Get the Inside Scoop on the Animal Kingdom (grades 6-8); Exploring the World of Gods, Myths and Monsters (grades 3-6); Young Actor's Workshop (grades 2-6); and Geometry for Credit (grades 8-11).

Sports and activity camps, which are offered at all age and skill levels, include: tennis, soccer, yoga, kickball, basketball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, softball and baseball.

The 2015 Catalog will be available online in late January.
Printed copies will be available in mid-February.

SummerPrep is really special to me because it's where I started doing theater, and performing has become a big part of my life. I had so many options as far as classes; I especially enjoyed archery, clay, and guitar. But what has made SummerPrep worthwhile is the friends I've made. It's magical going to camp, seeing friends and picking up where you left off.

I took my first digital filmmaking class at SummerPrep in 4th grade and that started my interest in and love for filmmaking. The variety of classes available kept my day interesting and I got to try so many different things (like comedy improv and creative writing). SummerPrep also offers great sports camps where you can work on your skills in a fun setting
