Hintons Honored by Association of Fundraising Professionals
Standing before a crowd of 500 community leaders, Sandia Prep parents Jim and Carol Hinton accepted the 2008 Outstanding Leadership in Philanthropy Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals on Wednesday, November 12. This award is given to an individual or couple who has a proven record of personal generosity and, through direct financial support, has demonstrated civic and charitable responsibility in New Mexico. Sandia Prep has benefited from Jim and Carol's generosity as philanthropists and event hosts for the School's various initiatives for more than 12 years, and appreciates Carol's leadership as a member of the Board of Trustees and past chair of the Annual Fund.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals is an organization of development professionals with a common goal of advancing philanthropy in New Mexico through promotion and advocacy of ethical principles and standards, mentorship, recognition and fellowship.
