New SPS Buildings
Field House

To adequately support Sandia Prep’s growing number of students who participate in competitive and recreational sports programs as well as requests from the community for use of our sports facilities, a new $5 million, 23,380-square-foot Field House was recently built to replace the School’s original gymnasium built in the 1950s. The Field House features:

• 850-seat gymnasium
• 85 parking spaces
• Training room suite
• Weight & conditioning area
• Home & visiting team locker rooms
• Coaching staff offices
• Officials’ office
• Large multipurpose classroom
• Trophy display wall
• Concessions room
• Uniform storage

Center for the Creative and Performing Arts

To accommodate Sandia Prep’s burgeoning performing arts program, a new $5 million, 23,000-square-foot Performing Arts Center will be constructed to adjoin the current Theater. The Center for the Creative and Performing Arts will feature:

• Drama rehearsal space & classroom
• Digital imaging classroom
• Chorus rehearsal room
• Instrumental music classroom & practice rooms
• Dance studio
• Seven middle school classrooms
• Sandia Prep’s admission receiving area
• Admission staff offices
• Conference room
• Atrium/art gallery

Alumni Brick Campaign

Alumni have the unique opportunity to support the new Field House through the first ever alumni brick campaign.

Using personalized, engraved pavers, SPS will decoratively brick a portion of the entrance to the Field House with the names and graduation years of our alumni supporters.
