At Prep, parental involvement is not only welcome, it is encouraged. In its mission, Sandia Prep emphasizes the importance of parental involvement in the education process: “…Sandia Prep, as an extension of individual families… “ At Prep, parental involvement is not only welcome, it is encouraged.

In addition to active involvement in their child’s educational experience, many parents choose to become involved in the SPS community in other ways.

The Sandia Prep School Parents Association (SPSPA) meets regularly, is responsible for a wide variety of events and initiatives to support the School, and is open to all SPS parents. There are numerous and varied opportunities for interested parents to volunteer.

The Sandia Prep Athletic Booster Club is also open to any interested parents. This group actively supports Sandia Prep’s extensive athletic program.

"Sandia Prep offers many opportunities to volunteer your time.  You can sign up to accompany a field trip, chaperone a dance, work at the all-parent-volunteer supply store, help with mailings, or serve on a committee. I love the close relationships that our family has developed with the administrators and teachers. Everyone works together for the benefit of the children.  Parent involvement is welcomed, encouraged, and appreciated!"
