Sandia Prep is fortunate to have an outstanding faculty of educators who inspire and mentor students. Our teachers are well educated, experienced and dedicated. Of our 79 teachers, 62% hold advanced degrees. Many claim long tenures at Sandia Prep, with many having taught here for more than 20 years and others for as many as 30 years.
Sandia Prep Names New Head of School
The Sandia Preparatory School Board of Trustees proudly announces the selection of Steven Albert as Sandia Prep’s next Head of School effective July 1, 2010. Albert will succeed Headmaster Dick Heath, who will retire in July after successfully leading the School since 1986. Read more…
Sandia Prep Receives 2 National Workplace Awards
Sandia Prep has won the American Psychological Association’s National Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award for outstanding efforts to foster employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance, one of only 5 employers from across North America to receive this year's award.
SPS was also one of just 10 organizations to win Best Practices Honors — received for the School's culture of inclusivity — and the only organization in the country to be honored in both categories.
The awards were given in Washington, D.C. on March 1, 2009.
