Tri-School College Admission Program
April 2, 2008 • 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. • Albuquerque Academy
Class of 2009 Parents/Students:
On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sandia Prep will team up with Bosque School and Albuquerque Academy for another event in our series of joint college admission programs. The program will be held at the Albuquerque Academy in the Simms Auditorium and will feature admission officers from approximately sixteen (16) colleges and universities reviewing how they make admission decisions. The institutions which have confirmed participation are listed below.
After a few introductory remarks, juniors and their parents will participate in small group discussions about fictional applicants with one or more admission officers. The group will simulate the workings of an admission committee and offer insight into why particular candidates are accepted for or denied admission. After the small group meetings, all participants will gather again to discuss the results.
In preparation for the workshop, please open the following three PDF documents, print each one and bring with you to the workshop.
• Application 1: Aldman
• Application 2: Leavitt
• Application 3: Brandeis
This will enable you to be prepared to join in on the discussion.
April 2, 2008 promises to be an informative evening, and we hope that many of you will be able to attend.
