Boys Basketball Team Plays in Kansas City Tournament
Over Winter Break, the Boys Varsity Basketball team played in the William Jewell Holiday Classic where they won the Sportsmanship Award, allowing coach Willie Owens to visit his hometown of Kansas City. Read more >>

IN "OLD" GYM
On October 2, 2007 middle school volleyball players played historic games. These games were the last to take place in the "Old" Gym, where 30 years of volleyball games have been played.
SPS Director Inducted Into Hall of Fame
Sandia Prep Athletic Director Pete MacFarlane was inducted into the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Hall of Fame in 2005. Pete joined Sandia Prep in 1975 and has been active in NMAA for more than three decades. View the rest of the story >>
Boys Soccer Team & Coach Honored
The Albuquerque Sports Hall of Fame selected the Sandia Prep Boys Soccer team as Team of the Year for 2005 and SPS coach Tommy Smith as Coach of the Year for 2005, sharing this honor with the UNM’s Mens Soccer team and UNM coach Jeremy Fishbein. The Boys Soccer team won District, Regional and State Championships (their fifth consecutive state title) were ranked 4th in the nation, and finished the season undefeated that year.
