About Sandia Prep

Our approach

  • We provide remarkable opportunities for intellectual and personal growth within a challenging and balanced program for students in grades 6-12.
  • Our innovative college prep curriculum prepares students for success in college — and beyond — and inspires each to find and achieve his or her purpose in the world.
  • Our rigorous, well-rounded curriculum is designed to educate the whole person.

What sets us apart?

  • We employ an integrated approach with a focus on writing, research and speaking.
  • Our unique program is designed to develop critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers and collaborative leaders.
  • Academics is our top priority, balance is our core value, and community makes us who we are.

A strong, diverse community

  • Our school is distinguished by a strong, diverse community and strong, enduring relationships.
  • Representing the face of Central New Mexico, Sandia Prep students come from approximately 70 different schools and 55 different zip codes.
  • Our faculty members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.
  • 48% percent of students identify themselves as students of color and 35.4% receive financial aid. This year’s 6th grade is 57% diverse.
  • Parental involvement is not only welcomed; it is encouraged.

Our guided process places value on much more than grades; at Sandia Prep, you are more than just a student. You are valued as the person you are, as a whole--and for what you can do for the community.
